Based in the Sports University in Pinar del Rio, Cuba, the Ecoflag Movement is well known among students and faculty, as well as sport promoters that attend courses and meetings.
The GSA Cuba Team has found power in this context and that's why many professors and students have decided to attend the workshops and outdoor activities organized by the team.
On December 15 the Team exhibited documents, photos, and books donated by the GSA World Center and many other materials to show the achievements of the project in Cuba and overseas.
In the photo appear the captain-MSc. Fernando E. Valladares Fuente, and two of the students that contributed most with the movement in the last year--Jorge luis Labrador and Jose Angel Lemus. There is no doubt that the GSA team is producing great changes in society and in the minds of Cuban people.

More than two years of study and work and now you can see, two young students in the study of Physical Culture have got their university qualifications at the service of the Ecoflag and the GSA project.
The first is given to Haitian lady named Catherine Franciesse and the second one to a Cuban boy named Maykel Bencomo Gonzalez.
The study by Catherine is entitled gA set of recreative-physical activities to contribute to environmental education in Labadee Bay, Cap-Haitienh. These studies are aimed at promoting an environmental consciousness in the people of Labadee by creating a healthy recreational space by qualified personnel.
Labadee, according to Catherinefs findings, shows a high tendency to pollution due to the active practice of tourism, trade and a bad knowledge of environmental education.
Our Cuba GSA Team hopes that once Catherine arrives at her country, she will put into practice her thesis and will strengthen the friendly bridges between GSA Cuba and GSA Haiti.
The Second study aimed at contributing to the formation of environmental education in students of a primary school located in the La Conchita neighborhood (10 km from Pinar del Rio) by means of physical education activities. Maykel seizes the natural conditions of the environment to develop moral values, such as love for nature, solidarity and friendship, in a very creative manner.
The two students have been tutored by the GSA Cuba Team Captain, Lic. Fernando Emilio Valladares Fuent,e and the staff of his department: Psicopedagogy and languages. Both of them got the highest qualification for their work.
Next year our Cuba GSA Team expects to take on more students in this topic of investigation.

| *GSA Cuba Celebrates World Environment Day |
|
|
|
|
5 June was no ordinary day at the Sport University, gNancy Uranga Romagozah in Pinar del Rio, Cuba, and we celebrated World Environment Day as human beings and as leaders of a sustainable world.
Of course, we did not celebrate a final victory as there are still many that are not aware and who pollute our lives, and sport has been our ideal vehicle for increasing awareness.
Today we looked at both our deeds and our failures in this Ecoflag mission. Our children will be our voice and their acts will join as one to fix our message gently in peoplefs minds. The children that took part in our gala event were from the Dreams and Fantasies Brigade, belonging to the gPedro Juncoh Cultural Center and invited by the GSA Team to take part in our party. It was a real success and simply a nice way to have a good time.
