The Ecoflag was flying at a Mochi Pounding event held on 8 February. Participants were encouraged to bring this own chopsticks and other utensil rather than using disposable ones, and a clean up was held after the event.
Our Ecoflag circle is always growing!

GSA Players Hirotoshi and Yuko Kameo, got together with more than 100 environmentally aware friends that 'think environment' and are promoting the use of Eco-products in their everyday lives. As usual they took a commemorative photo with the Ecoflag.

N.Tsogtsaikhan of the Mongolian Olympic
Committee’s doping control office was in Japan to attend a
workshop of ANADO?Association of National Anti-Doping Organisations
?on 16-22 September and to attend a training session with JADA (Japan
Anti-Doping Agency).
He took time to visit GSA Tokyo and learn about the Ecoflag Movement.
Although there is still no sport and environment commission within
the Mongolian Olympic Committee, he recognized the need to deal with
global environmental problems and expressed a strong desire to get
involved. |

There was a huge turn out for this
coastal ‘super camp’, which has become a regular fixture
among our friends.
This year we’re promoting ‘bring your own chopsticks’ and
want to leave our surroundings more beautiful than when we arrived.
We hope this small practice in awareness can lead to a great movement.

The Ecoflag was flying at our annual
barbeque, which took place at Koshien Beach in Nishinomiya City
on 3 June 2007. Lots of people gathered under a cloudy sky and
had a great time. The clean up was perfect too-everyone pitching
in. Our eco-circle is growing.

I brought the Ecoflag on a trip
to Guam with X-One.
The weather was great and we stayed on the beautiful Cocos Island.
To give
people a taste of the Island I took this photo with my friends
from X-One.

| We held a B-B-Q with Gunma prefecture
X-One members and friends in Takayama
Mura, Gunma. The event was to develop closer ties between members,
but I
took the opportunity to explain what kind of an organization GSA
is.
Even in Gunma I want to spread GSA’s message and ask locals
to take
environmental action, such as cleaning up garbage and using biodegradable
cleaners from X-One’s environmentally-friendly product line.

| We flew the Ecoflag at an event in
Edo Ward, Tokyo on 11 May that introduced
X-One’s environmentally friendly range of home care products.
Participants
understood the philosophy behind GSA and X-One and made donations
to the
Ecoflag Movement.

| We held a Hanami (cherry blossom viewing) party at
Togo shrine in Fukuoka
and flew the Ecoflag as we enjoyed nature. Situated on a hill by
a lake, the
Shrine gives a real feeling of the importance of the environment.
We
introduced GSA, which for many was the first time to hear about the
organization, and we hope to carry on this grassroots action.

At home, we don't use pesticides or chemicals in our vegetable garden. Instead we recycle kitchen waste to make fertilizer. Even my daughter goes to school with an Ecoflag on her satchel!
