Yayoidai SC and Chigasaki FC, two kids soccer teams took part in the 18th Yokohama Children's Soccer Festival at the Nissan Field Kozukue on 15 June 2008. The Ecoflag is always flying at the Saint Foot Soccer Club events and the little participants are gradually becoming aware of the concept of Ecoplay, and we'll be calling on participants at future games to "do one thing" for the environment.

*Football Tournament in Douala

GSA Douala GSA Douala
GSA Douala GSA Douala
I'm sending you our first activity report concerning our Ecoflag actions here in Douala during the last school holiday tournament.

Attached are photos of the final match of Championnat SIC-FOOT ASOC that took place at the Stade CiCam in Douala Bassa (The match was played between SOCAFER FC AND MAYEBI FC--two neighborhood teams). Stade Cicam has hosted many exhibitions matches, with some of our national football stars, such as Achile Emana, Djemba Djemba, Alexandre Song, and so on. This match featured Joseph Antoine Bell (JoJo)--a Cameroonian footballer and one of the best African goalkeepers of all time (appearing in the 1982 and 1990 World Cups).

During this match I was invite by radio bonne nouvelle--one of our founding parner--as consultant in order to comment on the match and to give a speech on the Ecoflag Movement concept.

*Nepal's First Inter-school Women's Football Tournament

Nepal Nepal
Nepal Nepal
Nepal Nepal
This historical event is the first women's interschool football tournament held in Nepal. I have attached some photo Also, this coming Saturday we are going to do some awareness activities and are going to clean the temples which support efforts to preserve our cultural heritage and, of course, the environment.

Football is the very most popular game in Nepal .Every single Nepali enjoys the game. The beginning of the tournament was very wonderful and exciting with the Nepalese cultural dance programme, doing march pass by all the participate team, speaking few words how to enhance the women football tournament by the guest personnel and commitment for the environment awareness through the sports.

And in final game it is much exciting nail biting game. Because one of the finalist team is from my local school St. Xavier school Godavari. I have distributed the brochures of GSA to participating schools. I got the commitment from the chief guest who is the minister of sports and education for environment awareness through the sports.

*Beach Soccer Exchange in Kansai

GSA Sanin Kaigan GSA Sanin Kaigan GSA Sanin Kaigan
A beach soccer exchange took place on 27 April at the Sennan Rinkai Park in Osaka.
Many members of GSA Sanin Kaigan belong to one of the competing teams-PAZAMOR, and the other teams were all familiar with the Ecoplay concept from competing in national competitions.
After the competition, all the event participants took part in a clean up and helped to promote Ecoplay as well as the sport of beach soccer, as we look forward to the establishment of the Kansai Beach Soccer League in 2009.

A beach soccer festival, the 1st Kin-cho Mayorfs Cup, took place on Igei beach in Okinawa on 22-23 March.

400 people took part in 44 teams in Champion, Friendly and Junior divisions, in what is the nations largest beach soccer event. The Champions class is made up of the nations strongest teams that won through local heats to reach the event.

The town mayor, who heads the event committee, made the opening remarks and called on participants to practice fair play and Ecoplay as part of the Ecoflag Movement. This followed an Ecoflag Seminar the previous day that was hosted by the town.

Team that took part in this event were asked to write an environmental declaration on their application form as a means of raising awareness, and teams came out onto the pitch preceded by both the fair play flag and Ecoflag. Throughout the event, the DJ repeated the Ecoplay message to participants.
